Here's a brief clip of the Reinforce Jr. ramming and taking out the Motorad squad, even after sustaining alot of damage. The Reinforce Jr. did what the real Jinn tried to do with the Jeanne D'Arc. (Episode 50: Japanese audio with English subitles)

  • "Why won't it sink?!"

Because they're about to perform an epic act of heroism, and you're at the receiving end of it.

  • Without a doubt one of the best orchestrated events in Gundam. So utterly sacrificial and badass; it allowed Uso to do what he needed to do. I'll always remember this scene as one that I cried during, and still find myself doing so.

  • @sorrowofwind1 Thank you so much for the link :D

  • @SageofTalos watch?v=INA1j4S9wSU Ikutsumono ai wo kasanete

  • what's the song playing in the background? been searching.

  • @frozenray0079 The key thing is to see new ideas. Anti-gundam ideas'd be spilled out n good ones will (hopefully) b improved. SEED carries its own story and ideas (PS amour, aegis' transformation, Sword-Strike's sword, rivals turned friends, the BuCUE etc). SEED era could be better exploited if beam shields n n-jammer cancellers took more than 2 CE years to materialise (took 40 UC years to see beam shield). SEED's over-commercialised.. at least we got good dialogues in UC than just a Beam Magnum

  • @stormmeansnowork i've seen some of Turn A, and i think it's incredible. It's really funny because they have some classical designs from 0079, and then they have suits like Turn A which are completely nontraditional. but they make it work for sure and it makes a Gundam fan appreciate a show like Gundam SEED even more how it returns to the classic machine design and plot. Turn A was very weird. But more than that, very original, and that's always a plus for me.

  • @frozenray0079 When you say that, I recalled Sunrise told us back in 2000 they will a big surprise in Turn A -- and they did... Sigh, the only thing I still cant get over with is -- Gundam's collective end is set by the most anti-Gundam design which I can't take even today. It would be perfect if the Moustached Gundam was replaced by Strike Freedom / Destiny... but put that aside, from what I learnt about TA (I didnt watch it), it's still a good series

  • @stormmeansnowork AGE is gonna rock. The 00 Movie, with its ELS plot, proved to the global Gundam fanbase that Gundam can get away with doing ANYthing it wants. Even a story involving aliens :) which is funny cuz the 00 series went from being super-realistic in season 1 to 0079-realistic what with its Innovator plot...then the movie just went totally unrealistic. and still incredible. So AGE will probably follow that trend just and surprise its audience. Hopefully not TOO much, like you said.

  • @frozenray0079 UC has elements from 0083, CCA and F91 (the Loto) too. Even there's no post-VG UC-story, OVAs for SG and CB (till its Steel-7 ending) is still welcomed. It's mysterious why some ppl cant see new ideas come from the alternate universes - despite some of those series' own short comings. Even I dislike aliens in Gundam, ELS does have its worth, but I hope AGE won't surprise us too much...

  • @stormmeansnowork I agree, Destiny could have been absolutely incredible. The first half is a total tribute to Z Gundam the same way the original SEED was a tribute to 0079...then it sorta goes to crap lol. i would love to see another UC television series, as VG is as of yet the final depiction of the universal century world. thats kinda why i'm realy enjoying Unicorn right now, even though it has a million references to Z and ZZ only. I hardly consider that G-Savior nonsense canon haha

  • @frozenray0079 I think ZG and VG are the greatest too! UC is just as good of course! Their keys to success are simple -- characters and good plot! It's hard to focus when there're 3+ gundams for the main casts (in God and after). I like SEED's and 00's story. Even Destiny have good machines but crap story, it's still better than G-Saviour... I hope they will write a post-VG new series to override that G-Saviour shit...
