Typing in caps, calling people fag (how original) and using a player who plays a different position as an argument to discredit Gasol's credentials and skill. By that logic you're implying Kobe should play better than Gasol against other centers or at the very least get more blocks. Because, you know, that's all a center needs to do to be good.

Seriously, common sense should be enough for anyone to know that Gasol is one of the better centers in the league. I can't believe I just read someone compare Kobe's blocking stats to Gasol's and used that as a counterpoint. Kobe's not even a fucking cen... never mind.

Dwight is still a very sound scorer on top of being an even better defender. You'll find that most people that know their basketball would say that Dwight is arguably the best center in the league right now, along with Pau Gasol.
And the crazy thing is, as you mentioned yourself, he's still developing.

You also forgot Pau Gasol among those in the west.
Talking in "what if's" is kinda pointless. I agree that a healthy Yao was better than a younger Dwight (though I'd doubt he'd miss a spot at the All-Star games), but the rest about forwards has less to do with Howard. Dwight doesn't even guard Dirk or KG(usually), nor likewise.
