"Reverse the call could open up a can of worms," ummm aren't we all forgetting the pine tar incident. They ejected George Brett, called him out, took away the home run, which meant the Yankees won, only for the HR call to be reversed, and they actually went back to finish the game.

The notion of MLB "reversing" the call just makes me laugh. Baseball has enough dark clouds over its head, allowing an administrative veto to trump the umps judgement would be a massacre to professional Umpires all over the world. Bad calls will be made, but good calls will be made mouch more often. The circumstances of each play is irrelevent. If replays were allowed on judgement calls, it would be open-season, as EVERY play could potentially be challenged by Managers, destroying the game.

Dick move by Butt Selig. "It's gonna open up a can of worms." My fucking ass. That's the best excuse you can come up with? You are a disgrace, Butthole Selig. Historic calls like this have to be corrected if someone fucks up. Joyce admitted he fucked up. Reversing the call would have made the city of Detroit happy, Galarraga gets his well deserved props, and the weight on Joyce's conscience would have been taken off of his shoulders. But, of course, Selig has to be an ancient douchebag.
