You see a Leafcutter Bee (Megachile spp) in a hole. Along comes another one with a piece of leaf, confused and heading for the wrong hole. So the 1st bee flies out to chase it off! This is a bughouse sold by Sheepdrove Organic Farm.

  • This is a Leafcutter Bee (one of the Megachile species) and it's not likely to sting. They are solitary so it's not like a colony where Honeybees have an army to throw at you in order to defend the nest. These have to play it cool, avoid conflict.

These bees are easy to attract - see my other video on 'how to encourage...'
