I loved the opening it was amazing! I love it when the mask sanged out: 'Somethings ablime!' who does the voice anyway he has a good voice!

There were only two things that I liked from Melody Time, Blame it on the Samba, and Pecos Bill. (Although I thought those two were better when they were re-released as their own shorts in the mid 50s, because they had a great opening and endings to both of them). Johnny Appleseed was ok, but Pecos Bill was the great folk hero from Melody Time.

watching this movie is probably the reason why I fell in love with music.

@CaptainRaccoonWhitly Oh... I totally understand. And actually, I agree with you too. It's just given all of the people that are popularizing Disney now, the younger generation doesn't even know of or perhaps remember such a timeless classic. You're definitely right; I do wish more people did remember this movie.

@NeonicFilm1138 That's not what I meant. Melody Time is a lost relic even amongst classic Disney fans (i.e. it's never brought up.) I honestly couldn't care if people like Bieber and Cyrus, I just wish more people liked Melody Time...

Masks 1 man and 3 womans at the theater from Walt Disney's Melody Time in 1948
It's such a shame that so many people don't know that this movie exists... >_>

@CaptainRaccoonWhitly Right?! But nope, instead they'll only remember stuff like Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber, and Rebecca Black! It's up to us to keep the TRUE classics in our hearts and minds... I grew up with this movie, and I gotta say the paintbrush was my favorite character lolol :D
