If you pause immediately after flipping the switch and save your game there, then you will be able to load your game if you mess up. This saved me many times when I fell in the water on my way over there. Because there is a checkpoint at the switch you will start there when you load your saved game and then all you have to do is flip the switch before starting your timed obstacle course to the retrieve the relic.

TIPS: press triangle repeatedly while you swim ABOVE the water to the ledge during the time run. Also, so you don't have to keep doing the switch run if you fail - when you make it to the switch there is a checkpoint. Kill yourself after that checkpoint so it will save at that spot. (if you fail at the time run again)

You must stand on the right edge to get to hook the ring, you can't do it on the left one. I had the same problem.

For some reason i get the relic but it doesnt appear in my inventory and i went to the statue and i still had only two iron bars. Anyone else experience this?

In the video in the last pillar with lion heads i have blockers between them, unlike you. There is a ring on one of them but am unable to hook it.. will do some more tries but am not really finding this fun. Just repetitive and damn boring...

the saving system in this game is one main reason for me to uninstall it. I can't stand checkpoint based savegames. They tend to mess your gameplay.

I got stuck on that part yesterday; I had no idea how to even get to the Relic, let alone, within 50 seconds :/

Difficult and I've tried many times. If you play with normal difficulty does it go down in shorter time than 50 seconds?

No. The given time is the same in all difficulties. The difference between the difficulty modes is how much health Lara loses from the drops, enemy attacks etc.
