Solid Gold 84-85 opening/closing Rick Dees

Here is the opening/closing sequences from an espisode featuring Rick Dees. This season was very different from the years before and I am having difficulty locating the complete opeing. So I kinda cut and spliced the best I could. Until I come across a complete espisode from that season, this will have to do!

I never understood why it was callled "Solid Gold", but they featured current music, not gold music.

@scason Well it could be referring to the fact that they did a top 10 countdown and when an album or single hit 500,000 units in sales it was a certified "gold" hit. It may not be just referring to classic "gold" music.

Rick Dees was and still is a very funny guy but his style just didn't mesh with the vibe of Solid Gold.

They should have changed the "Flashdance" theme this season, as it's too similar to Marilyn's season previously.  The singer isn't as good as Marilyn was!
