Ben Elton and Andrew Lloyd Webber have remade the musical. It's now called The Boys in the Photograph and it's amazing. However it's only played in Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (England)Winnipeg (Canada) and Toronto (Canada) so far. There's some new song and it supposedly has a lighter ending than Beautiful Game.

This is a wonderful musical...I saw it in London in 1999. Wish it gets revived in the future. I loved it. One of my all-time favorites and I have been going to the theatre for over 40 years.

I saw it in Toronto (Canada) where it played for a bit but it didn't get great reviews ... probably for the same reason but also probably because people don't really understand the entire conflict being from across the pond.
