Negative Space was a psychedelic rock band who released an album Hard, Heavy, Mean and Evil in 1970. Only 500 copies were pressed, and the album was out of print until a compilation was released on CD in 2000 by Monster Records. The Living Dead Years includes the entire 1970 album, non-LP cuts and material from the post-Negative Space outfit Snow. Their sound had been described as dark heavy fuzzed basement psych

  • Thanks Olotzon for helping to keep my music alive ... sorry Vicki that you don't particularly like it. I understand Hard, Heavy, Mean & Evil is not for everyone. I never meant it to be for everyone. But just the fact that people are still listenning to our music all these years after we recorded it is an honor to myself, Jimmy Moy, Lou Nunziata and Bob Ritner ...my band members in the "original" Negative Space.

  • @waykoolrecords Glad you like our music. We were a VERY loud band, many say much like Blue Cheer. so our volume was always at the max :-)/ Rob Russen

  • Klaus - As the founder and leader of Negative Space I can assure you the band was not British but, instead, from East Camden, New Jersey in the US. The band featured myself on lead guitar and vocals, Jim Moy also on lead guitar and vocals, Bob Rittner on bass and Lou Nunziata on drums. Feel free to visit my group of videos here on YouTube under my name RLRussen or email me at RobRussen09@aol;.com with any questions you may have.

  • Trust me there's plenty of people who still love this sort of music, It's straddles the barriers of garage, heavy metal and psychedelic, it gives me a buzz anyway. love the throaty growling vocal
