  • 5.4L like the Cobras, so you will be replacing your V6 for a V8? why dont you buy a 2003 Cobra then you can supercharged it?,

im planing to install the bbk just for the throttle response, hope will work if not i can return it

Yesterday i saw a GT with Turbo what a throttle response, very nice the sound and the acceleration.

Why dont you install something else on your car i mean like wide tires or strip decals, the outside look doesnt show the engine mods at all.

  • I don't like positive displacement blowers. I will either go with a centrifugal blower or a turbo. As for my choice in engine, the old Cobra engine is a 4-valve 4.6L. I'm doing something different by using a 3-valve 5.4L Triton engine. Much more affordable. After forging, it will be stronger than the 03 Cobra engine, too.

  • Didnt know about the error codes with the bbk,

The gears and the pulley instead what would you recomended, i cant afford this year the supercharged to expensive.

Why do you want to sell your supercharged?

im asking cause i dont want use my V6 only for the next 2 years after installing the supercharged.

    mustangcollective com sounds interesting. Thanks.

  • I've never tried the BBK, it's just what I've heard from those who have. Zero HP gain, and check engine lights. Some HAVE said it makes for better throttle response, that's about the only good thing I've heard.

Gears are a good upgrade. 3.73s are a lot of fun. Underdrive pullies are a waste of money, in my opinion, and can cause all sorts of problems in the long run...

  • I'm selling mine because my current kit (blower bracket, piping, etc) will not fit on the 5.4L engine I'm planning on putting in. Also, the 5.4L will need a bigger blower than the D1SC to make the kind of boost I'm looking at (15-20psi).

  • Hi, i have V6 06, shorty headers, predator, C&L, next month im going for the BBK throttle body and then V6 Pulley, my question is how much did you spend on the supercharged, parts and installation, Thanks.

  • Oh yeah, and head on over to mustangcollective com. We're a community of 4.0L enthusiasts. You won't find any "Why didn't you just get a GT" comments there....

  • how much did the 5.4 cost you. cus im kinda gnna do what you did. procharge my v6. thn when i get out of the police academy just totally revamp it to a 5.4 cus i dont like the new body style for 2010 up. im gnna have 13,000 by summer so ill have no problem with the procharger and other body work

  • you dont really even need 20psi, i have a 454 with 14psi, and im making 850+hp at the wheel. this same blower on a little motor as yours would put out over 30psi according to procharger

  • if he plans on adding a power adder then yea a throtle body will have gains

  • A must see bro, the idea sounds good.
