@ptsoldier If there's no legal stipulations on keeping them yes, they make good pets. Feeding them crickets and worms works well.

@BradySean512 although ur right about most of tht stuff i think it is not a fire salamander but a type of newt mainley because fire salamanders originate from europe and the only ones in the states are in the pet trade

no this is not a newt, it is a salamander, a Fire Salamander to be exact. Its scientific name is Salamandra salamandra. Its not a Spotted Salamander because the spots are not orderly and there are too many. And no the difference between newts and salamanders is more historic than scientific. Newts are a subgroup of salamanders. All newts are salamanders, but not all salamanders are newts.
I hope this person didn't have chlorinated pool water or any chemicals in it for that matter.
