Bob and I were great friends. Last time I saw him, we had dinner at Sturbridge Village in Massachusetts with his son Steve..and Annette...the world will never know what a gentle and very funny man he was. My brother died at age 34. In the 4 months he was dying from cancer..Bob called every week to get a progress report. He never once mentioned his problem was the same thing.

Bob can never truly die. So long as people learn from him he will all ways live thru them.

Bob was an inspiration to many aspiring artists young & old around the world and is still greatly missed. The Joy of Painting is still on everyday in the UK and still watched by millions. Although no longer with us, his work and influence will never die. R.I.P.

Wow.. It kills me that I was alive when he died. Makes me wonder how he could have died and I lived. Thanks, life, for making no sense. R.I.P. Bob Ross.

I only seen Bob Ross programs after he passed away but he inspired me to paint and I know he still amazes people a true artist and legend never failed to produce a real work of art RIP Bob Ross .

Wonder if he's up there painting on a happy little cloud
