Bulova Accutron TE-14 military clock, one minute before midnight. This clock features a 1000-day decimal counting day totalizer option, and is built upon the famous Series 214 tuning fork movement. Accutron movements use a transistorized drive coil circuit to generate oscillations in a tuning fork, whose vibrational energy is transferred to the drive train through a miniscule jeweled ratcheting system. Accutron 214 movements produce an audible hum at 360Hz (not audible in this video), and have a distinctive continuous sweep seconds hand. Military clocks similar to this one are the only 214 movements known to have a date function.
