On June 19, 2011, Tamil youth dancers from across Canada will be taking over the stage at the much renowned John Bassett Theatre participating in the much anticipated inter-university/college dance competition. Toronto's Entertainment District has been home to countless magnificent performances and Thaalam strives to engage the artistic talents of our Tamil youth within the artistic and cultural hub of Toronto.

This is an event not to be missed. The dancers are on fire; the teams have been practicing day and night, creative costumes have been crafted, and the final touches are being added to bring the dance themes and visions to life. With each team having their own cheer squad within the audience, the competition is heating up! The teams are all in anticipation and have high hopes of winning the Cup, which of course entitles them to unofficial bragging rights. Who will take the cup home? There's only one way to find out, be there, June 19, John Bassett Theatre (Metro Convention Center).
