lads visit Sam in hospital, and agree to his request that he wants to spend one last night with his 'other woman', Lilly Bless'er. Unfortunately, while at Lily's, Sam passes away. It's up to Foggy, Compo and Clegg to get him back home without his wife Sybil finding out. This was a 90 minute special, a film made for television

  • it's fun to see the way this show has changed over the years, from in the studio audiences, to this style with no canned laugh tracks. It takes on a whole new meaning.........thanks for posting

  • Isn't Lily the nurse from "Open All Hours"? Great comedy too!

  • Last on with Sid b4 he died oh throat cancer to bad he couldn't speak for this last show...

  • i have series 1 to 11 on dvd, and out of all of them, this is my favorite episode, it's just the right length, and it has a great storyline.

  • Thank you so much for posting all these wonderful shows. I spent the early part of my life growing up in Canada in the 1950s and was exposed to much British programming, my favourite being Hancock's Half Hour. I have a passion for British comedy. I much prefer it to American style humour. Thanks again for your generous posting.

  • classic

  • This is a definite lotsw highlight-delight! Many thanks.

  • This is my favourite Last of the Summer Wine episode

  • A brilliant episode. Apparently the BBC have hardly showed it since it was first screened in 1983, more fool them.

I watched it for the 1st time on G.O.L.D during Xmas, it was that good I watched again later the same day.
