I've always loved the opening of this song but have only recently learned how to play it. I never thought it could be played well on acoustic guitar. I've started off like the original but changed tempo as it goes into the song as it fits perfectly to the picking style I've used. See what you think. You can find the tabs on the internet. I'm off for a bike ride.

Funny you should think it could never be played on the acoustic when the original is played on acoustic. Have a look on youtube for Pete playing it on his Gibson J200 at the Secret Policeman's Ball in 1979.

Anyway, looks like you had a lot of fun doing that so more power to your elbow mate :)
