Tales of Vesperia PS3 - Don Whitehorse [Yuri Solo/NIND/Unknown Mode]

NIND = No Items, No Death.

The Don is a force to be reckoned with, he is by far the hardest boss of the game on Part 1 (mainly because he techs out a lot like bosses in Part 2 and 3).

2 Random Kogahazans/Tiger Blades and I'm dead, 1 clean combo and I'm dead, so I went really carefull here trying to get behind him cause that way he will waste his first tech out with a turn around (or whiff a Tiger Blade tech out).

All my non-fell arm weapons do crap damage on him due to how high his defense and HP are at this point of the game, so I went with my fell arm but used the 1/2 and 1/4th damage skills to keep the damage fair.

Woah, your totally rocking on the combos now Omega. Comparing you now to when you first ran TOV on both the 360 and PS3... its like a completely different person. Good job~! But I still don't see how your OverLimit didn't go out when you used the Burst Arte, mine always forces me out.

@Wolfking79 The PS3 version got a skill I really wanted on the 360 version called Burst Keep, that lets the Overlimit stay active during a BA, making it easier to go from BA to MA without having the fear of running out lol.

This reminds me of how I played symphonia, when the main goal was to get behind the enemy when soloing. It's how I beat 2nd Kratos with genis xD

Too bad jumping in this game isn't as good as in Symphonia though =(

I'll go ahead and post a relevant comment. I completely forgot about the don and his doom tiger blade BASIC attack. On a side note I applaud the use for dat rouha. No idea why people never use it. After a while I hearing "good combo" gets old. Considering it's Yuri it doesn't matter much. Excellent scrappin' there against the fuggin Don. Also hi ougi finishes without checking HP is always a plus

@dagoldenclip2 Yeah, Don is 1337 enough to have tiger blade as a basic attack, so much attemps killed by that =__=

With Manual cancel I'm learning to appreciate all Yuri's underused artes now lol. Specialy Azure Wolf Strike, this run is showing me how awesome that Arte is for pretty much anything.

@RandomFlushingToliet He meant when you use a Burst Arte at the end of Overlimit, which DOES end it due to the time bar running out. PS3 version added Burst Keep, which allows you to keep your current OVL level IF you are using a Burst Arte if your OVL time runs out, and gives an additional 3 second leeway for an additional attack afterwards.
