This reminds me of a gangster mafia movie
For some reason

A 1951 cartoon.

No onions

this is such an awesome cartoon. all of jones's characters up to 1951 are underrated.

the exchange @3:25-4:15 inspires the "sesame street" sequences involving fat blue and grover the waiter. fat blue bears a more than passing resemblance to charlie dog's customer - - thick mustache, heavy eyebrows, semicircular rim of hair on a large, round head. it's also noteworthy that in the "sesame street" segments, grover the waiter recurrently calls out to an off-camera "charlie" in the kitchen - - an allusion to charlie dog, perhaps?
-
This is why I'm glad dog's can't talk xD

Ship Captain: What the...?!? You again?!? I'd thought I threw you off in Peru!
Charlie Dog: What are you anyway, a dog hater?

Aww and to think I could've had this doggie in Peru if he was dropped off there :P

Charlie dog is the most unappreciated Looney Tunes, I think hes funnier than Foghorn at least, its a shame he's not remembered by anyone, even Looney tunes merchandise doesn't exist for him
