Sounds to me those guys who you are talking about don't know how to SKILLFULLY command an army. You personally use the easiest armys to paint and probably can't be bothered to paint skintones on 100+ troopers. To me, all you care about is winning and not even playing the game for fun... As is was intended to be.

By the way, if you need to rely on space marines, you don't truley know how to play the game with strategy and meet new people who know how to properly play imperial guard.

actually ive won 2 painting contest in the past 6 months thanks and i admit that in the right hands, an IG army can be deadly, so calm down ok. Besides the point you as a person dont know know me nor i you so back down. And space marine tactics are just as hard cause of the cost of points at least being 20 points per model vs 6 points a model for ig if im correct so again calm down

You just don't know what you're talking about. IG can be extremely effective, even for a beginner. You can make some truly fierce IG units. Just look at what you could do with an assault oriented command squad.

Sounds like you are a bunch of power gamers anyway.

me and 2 other friends all started guard armies at relatively the same time, i started it for a gw store event, 1 friend started them bc he likes the vestroyan models and the other started gaurd because he wanted a death korps tank army, non of us have lost against marines or MEQs. i fact i havent lost a game with my guard, to be fair i have only played 3 or 4 games and unless the list is stacked againstalot of tanks, my friend doesnt lose much either.
