Another Reagan Republican throws in the towel because his party is being driven into the dirt by the religious crazies:
(AP) "The Democrats will continue to be the majority party in the House and Senate and Hillary Clinton will make history by being the first woman president" in 2008, predicts Rep. Ray LaHood, one of three Illinois Republicans to announce his retirement so far. What makes LaHood's prediction stand out is his willingness to say it publicly.
Ray LaHood, poor man, just another shill for the neoconservatives, Rubber Stamp Ray. Great job in speaking with him. If Ray has a conscience he will reexamine his stance on the war. He's leaving office, there is no better time, however, if he wants a lobbyist job in D.C., and does not change his stance, he only proves he does NOT give a damn about the troops. He will answer your letters, as he has done mine, but his position is a mirror image of the White House.
