  • @turodrty300 what will happen if you hear youtube.com/watch?v=kOBWz-PKddc ? that´s a wonderful version too and i am looking for the artists who sang it. maybe you can help?have been searching since the 1990s, even contacted the mcgarrigles and the seeger sisters: it wan´t them. maybe you know the answer?

  • @JustAFocus just open my search request and listen to a perfect interpretation. maybe you can help? it is on youtube.com/watch?v=kOBWz-PKddc have been searching for the original since the 1990´s....

  • @TheGranule hi, thanks for posting, i think i have geard 100 versions :-) i evebn contacted the mcgarrigles and thge seeger sisters, it was non of them. my hope is that it maybe might be the roches: 3 voices and american pronunciation... did you see my clip? youtube.com/watch?v=kOBWz-PKddc

  • Some singers have voices that, no matter what you're doing, you shut up and listen. This is a prime example.

  • Truly an amazing and jaw-dropping performance. Much thanks!

  • Beautiful harmonies. Truly a haunting song.

  • @TheGranule hi thanks, yes i know all her songs, but unfortunately it isn´t "my" version,

  • hi, could you please tell me why you marked my posting from july 16th as spam? instead of doing that you could at least help me to find another version on youtube. that´s what my link is for. my opinion is that we should HELP each other strange enough the link doesn´t seem to work. but you can find my search request just by entering my nickname in the search field. thank you.

  • @friederich66

Judy Collins did a version, have you heard it?

  • hi, i have uploaded "my" bright morning stars request, maybe you can listen and one of you knows who i mean?n thanks. the url is yyy.youtube.com/watch?v=kOBWz-PKddc , just replace the y´s with w´s, youtube doesn´t allow links.

    thanks

  • Awesome! :D

  • The part that starts at 2:47 is really haunting -- and it seems pretty difficult to do. All three singing all of the nuances in exact unison, as one voice (to borrow another Jennys title) that has a distinct richness to it.

  • made my hairs stand up!

  • OMG! How utterly beautiful!! I miss my Dad and Step-Dad and you Ladies touched that so well!

  • This almost made me cry

  • enough to make you weep

  • hi everybody, i am searching for a version from the 60s or 70s, sung by a group of 2 or 3 female voices, a little bit different in intonation. who can help me? please contact me if you can help, i have been searching for this song for more than 10 years. i have a short distorted copy from a radio transmission which i could provide to show what i am searching. as far as i found it it was eventually a group named sadler (saddler-) sisters or "the short sisters" i couldn´t find any of them.

  • I am a member of a choir here in Brighton,UK...on October 31st it is the Brighton all night White Festival which celebrates the coming of the Winter Solstice and putting the clocks back one hour...we are booked to sing this at 6am as the dawn breaks

  • So beautiful, it makes me want to cry.

  • I am singing the second part in our school choir for judges this friday. Well be fine, except well that our "soloist" is doing it opera style and its extreamly hard to blend with her. Any tips?

They are so beautiful, and amazing singers!

  • Beautiful voices combined to share a beautiful song.
