1992-08-11 Bauer Anniversary Party

11 Aug 1992 - Holly arrives for Ed & Maureen's anniversary party. Maureen asks about Blake. Ross arrives behind Holly, who quickly walks away from him. Later in the kitchen, Maureen comments to Ross about the coolness between him and Holly. Maureen urges Ross to make an effort to work things out with Holly. Ross bluntly states that he doesn't want to try. Later, Roger arrives and apologizes for interrupting, but he's still looking for Blake. Holly taunts him about not finding Blake. When he asks for an explanation, Holly says Blake's new man does not matter anymore. Holly quickly excuses herself when Ross comes into the kitchen talking with Bridget. Noticing Holly's behavior, Roger asks Ross why he's not seeing her. Ross refuses to talk to Roger and leaves. Bridget takes the opportunity to ask Roger about Hart. Just as Roger is leaving, Ed asks him why he's there. Roger starts to ask about Blake, but Ed just tells him to leave. Holly says good night to Ed and Maureen, so she can go home and rest with another headache. In the kitchen, Ross finds that Roger is still there. Roger demands that Ross leave his family alone... citing Holly and Hart as examples. Ross explains that Jenna was responsible for Hart finding out about Roger. Alan-Michael catches Holly as she's leaving, to ask about Blake. A-M insists he needs business advice from Blake, and denies Holly's accusations that he needs Blake to save him again. Back in the kitchen, Ross is amused that Roger has found the perfect woman for him - Jenna - and taunts Roger that Jenna will not be free and available for long.

Oooooh, love the dialogue between Roger and Ross....and sweet Maureen.....this must have been very close to her exit. Is this when Jenna and Roger hooked up then? I'd love to see that storyline too.....and Nick/Mindy/Eve....I know, I'm greedy. =)

I think Maureen died in January 1993. And yes this was the beginning of Jenna and Roger. However, I didn't pay attention to Mindy/Nick/Eve even then.

Why did Maureen not hate Roger like everyone else in Springfield?

Maureen death was a loss to the show. She could have been the matriarch of the Bauer family for years to come.
