Punctuated equilibrium supposes that a species can evolve at tremedously different rates at different times, and not necessarily due to any environmental stressor. Humans have evolved VERY rapidly ( in comparison to some other species) in the last 2 million years, but, who knows? we may remain at this stage for millions more without much variance and then - BAM! - rapid change again.

Green energy is bullshit. We won't have the tech to make it worthwhile for another few decades. To power the average US household with wind or solar it costs more than the house itself to be off the grid. This crap is nothing but an expensive supplement with our current tech.

the people who deny peak oil are those seeking solace from what they know is happening. no one in their right minds thinks oil production isn't declining. the IEA has said oil depletion is happening at a rate of 6% a year. saudi arabia have overestimated it's reserves by 40%. we're now in the decline phase. we will live in the age of no oil.

You don't understand how evolution works. "When things stop evolving they die off," you say? Really? Is that what you think? There are species that virtually haven't changed in hundreds of millions of years. The way you talk about evolution betrays a general ignorance of science. If you can't grasp even the simplest concepts of natural selection, why should we listen to anything else Kim?
