If you are not bowled over by the appeal of the Kia Cee'd's seven-year warranty, then you should at least be impressed by the car's build quality and practicality.

The driving experience doesn't excel when compared to the best European hatchbacks like the Ford Focus and Volkswagen Golf, but all have air-conditioning and plenty of safety equipment. A simple range offers four specifications, named 1, 2, 3 and EcoDynamics. Either variant of the 1.6-litre diesel provides very low running costs, while EcoDynamics cars are the most environmentally friendly.

On the road, It can't match class leaders like the Volkswagen Golf for driving fun, yet the Kia Cee'd has a solid, well-engineered feel that underlines the quality of its engineering.

The steering, pedals and gearshift feel light and easy to use, but never flimsy. The only real issue is that the driving position itself lacks adjustment.

You should also do a review on the Pro_ceed, it's similar, but it does have better suspension looks etc. And considering I own one, I'd like to know your input. I find mine very fun to drive and pokey enough.

ive had the estate 1.6 diesel of the cee'd since 2008 and ive had not one problem with it. on the other hand my wife has a 07 focus and has had a list of issues ? need i say more....

Badge desire is petty and small minded. Those who want a VW because it's a VW are tools of the trade. It's the ones who look past it who really reap the benefits. I got a pro_ceed, and I can't be happier.
