The act conducted by Brown and captured in the video might have taken place in diverse places around Montmartre or Pigalle. Now, there is certainty about the appearances of Brown in order to perform his act in at least two specific places, The Capprice Vennois located at N. 59 of the Rue Pigalle (still open) and very close to The Moulin Rouge and the Cirque Medrano which was located during the 30,s at 63 Boulevard Rochechouart, at the corner of rue des Martyrs, on the edge of Montmartre.

According to the label of the video, it was recorded in Paris before a fight against French contender Eugene Huat for the bantam championship. Brown and Huat fought three times during their careers. Nevertheless, only two of their fights were sanctioned as title bouts. The first took place in Paris on October of 1930 and the second in Canada on October of 1931. Taking the data into account it is almost certain to establish that the video was recorded previous to their first encounter in Paris.

I'm sure most of you are unaware that Brown was openly gay. He was a rarity in that he was open about who he was, which was RISKY in those days.
