Almost expected to hear Barry White's voice during the promo.

"Iola" was part of the "You Can Count On Us" package written for WFAA-TV by Jim Kirk, who was on staff at the old TM productions at the time. It was never syndicated as a TM Productions product. And Ernie Anderson did do voice over work for WFAA back in the early 80's. The reels still exist. The out-takes are are typical X-Rated Ernie gold.

IOLAAAAAAAA!
-
Why do you say "of course"? Am I not seeing a previous question...or are you just remarking that, of course, WFAA did a promo for Iola?
-
Andrson was staff announcer at ABC (network) and did voiceovers for ABC O&O's. WFAA is not one of those stations since it is owned by Belo.
-
How come Ernie Anderson didn't do the voiceover? I thought he did voiceovers for promos on every ABC station at the time, too.

Of course, she was co-anchor with Tracy Rowlett from 1974-1985 at WFAA, and they wouldn't be together again until 2000 when they co-anchored KTVT's 4 pm newscast.
she is so beautiful. she opened the door for black women to anchor in dallas.

@TXNews Ernie did do some v/o work for non O&O's (the ones coming to mind are WEWS in Cleveland {where Ernie started out as "Ghoulardi"} and WPLG in Miami).
Never knew he did voiceovers for WFAA, though.
