home made air conditioner made from car oil radiator, 2 cooler fans, aquarium water pump and cooler box. (temperature shown in degrees Celsius) 8 liters of frozen water last for 6 hours.

    i wasnt saying salt water would be a good idea, i was saying that salt water is very easy to make by putting salt in water. look at the comment i was replying to.

  • Stacking two fans would only increase the torque of the air pushed but it won't increase the cfm.

  • Good idea but it's not really efficent :) Frosting the water is probably heating your house more than cooling it. And you need energy for freezing and then again for cooling...

  • @gridarmorfix really? that's interesting. Could you make your own saltwater or would you have to get it from the beach/ocean/lake, etc..?

  •  just remember to clean your cooling coil

  • If the inside of the aluminum cooler was coated in a corrosion resistant material you could use saltwater in your cooler which would produce a much colder air.
