  • I have a question, which is do you think is better the Eureka Apex 2XT or the Mountain Pass 2XTE ?

Same for the 3 vesrions for those two tents

  • @iruleallday The Mountain Pass Hands Down!

  • ...basically roll up the fabric and just have mesh covering the entry points to maximize ventilation in warm weather. Buttoned up there is a bit of condensation that accumulates on the fly inner but its no big deal. This happens with just about any double wall tent. I have used these in snow as well.

  • @rhorwat1976 Yeah this tent could do well in just about any conditions!

  • Done deal - ordered the 3xte today. Now have to figure out to get my trusty (ratty?) old Timberline 2 to the curb without shedding tears ;<)

  • Respond to this video... I agree the tetragon is a bust, FG poles no good, the apex is a good tent, the just need aluminum poles to make them great.

  • yup yup, just got this one too. I did my research and could not find anything better. I even compared it to 4 season, 800 dollar tents. The material is high quality.

  • Looks like a great tent for bicycle camping

  • This is a nice tent. Is there any mesh on the top pf the tent body? Does it come with a gear loft? Great video. Please note I live in my tent year round 365 days a year. I need a tent that will keep me dry and sheltered

  • How would you compare A eureka tent to a kelty?

  • I own the 2 man and the 3 man version of these tents. They are bomber. I have actually had alot of correspondence with Eureka in regards to this model. I think it is better suited as a 3.5/convertible model. For the price they are pretty tough to beat. I have had many tents over the 30yrs I have been backpacking, Hillebergs, Big Agnes, and many more. If you are not weight conscious these are awesome. Nice to see a vid on them. Another thing is the door panels can be zipped to mesh entry covers.
