  • During ELP, Carl was "the charactor", Keith Emerson "the Showman" and Greg Lake "the Voice". here we see Carl "the Charactor"! :)

  • Great drummer, gotta love his style.

  • Carl is a MONSTER !!!

Really puts on a drum clinic with these solos, reminding you why he's a living legend. Buddy Rich was great, but guys like CP and Neil Peart take drumming to a whole 'nother level...

His speed and energy, esp. for a man of his years, is incredible. Of coz, being in great shape def. helps !

The cymbal work is particularly impressive, and that "worm" trick with the stick is always a crowd-pleaser (even if it's a tiny bit gimmicky) !!

    Rock ON, Carl !!

  • I could watch this video all day...

    CP & Asia are great...

  • carl makes some great faces doesn't he. what a guy.

man they played it just as well three days later...you had a really good seat. nice, clear audio quality too!

  • I'm thrilled to see Carl playing Ludwig's again. Stainless steel to boot!

  • NIce looking new Ludwig after the vistalites - CP often plays better solos when he's got a shorter slot as here, and also from 1983 with Asia at the budokan - on an MTV deadline...
