@5RetardedSquirrels It's based on neumes, so it's a system before the notes that we use today. It's actually quite a simple concept: the distances between the notes are do-re-mi etc., based on the hymn to stjohn (do wasn't the original, it was ut). It was an improvement to the original concept which only showed whether the melody was going up, down or stayed the same. The improvement to the original concept was made by Guido van Arezzo. I think it's cool too (I've got a test about it tomorrow)
