M&P is a great firearm. Just throwing it out there, at least one police departments in my area has gone to m&p 45's and they love it.

The X2 is made by Insight. The same lamp is sold by Springfield Armory just renamed the XML. Streamlights new TLR-3 advertises twice the lumen output, haven't played with it yet. By the way I do own two XD40s a subcompact and a service model. Since I purchased this m&p I may be selling my XD's to buy .40's in both variations It's an awesome firearm.

Man the M&P line of pistols is so awesome. I think the xd is a great gun but i like the feel and the ergonomics on the M&P better. I think glock, xd ,and S&W are equally reliable though.They have a stainless steel insert inside the S&W frame so i think that makes it alot better to handle stress over the years of shooting, and most if not all the part are made of stainless steel. Plus The M&P's are such a sexy looking gun and are not blocky like xd or glock.

Everyone of the M & P pistols i have have a nice trigger it's smooth and crisp i know when they first came out they had kind of a spongy trigger but have improved so much since then.
