Originally sung by Canadian singer Luba, this song appeared on the 9 1/2 Weeks soundtrack. Marilyn's version definitely does the song justice, and it's one of the best numbers on her "This Is Serious" album.
Yes, it's a shame she didn't get better material. She was definitely a great singer--I hope she'll record again. She definitely deserved more success than she got. Well, if you live in Nashville, you could *try* to get her to sing backgrounds for you. LOL.
It really is a shame they didn't give her better songs to sing on her 2 solo albums. She has a kick-ass voice... like Pat Benatar, but more balls, range, and better tone. Just one more example that it takes more than talent to go all the way to the top; it takes a lot of luck and good people around you. I wish we could get her to sing backgrounds on our project, but we're nobodies, so the chances of that are about negative 1000. She deserves much more than the success she did achieve.
