This is a tribute to the city of my birth and a city that I love. These photos are ones mostly pre-Katrina but the good news is that most of these places are back. I hope that everyone helps New Orleans come back by visiting the city. That's what's needed. Enjoy!

  • Come on. Most people in NO nowadays are yankee burnouts from soulles states like Illinois, Kentucky(ok Not Yank but worse), New York, Maryland etc . They have all but killed what NO culture really is. As an NO native I find this kind of cultural showboating disgusting and offensive. I am appalled by all of the phrases of covert prestige like "who dat" and "where yat" being flouted around as if they really meant anything or defined anyone from NO.

  • I'm sure you have a point that you feel passionate about but this video was not intended to be something negative. It's a tribute to my home city that I love and miss. You seem very bitter and negative. I hope that you can channel your energy in to making some positive contributions to your city.

  • Beautiful, great job, I am visiting soon!!!

  • Wonderful. People in New Orleans will be happy that you are visiting. You'll enjoy yourself.

  • New Orleans is the best city in the south, and one of the best in the country! It has everything: great people, great food, great culture, one of the best zoos and aquariums, and countless other great features!!! GREAT CITY!!!

  • I agree! I hope that more people visit. They need the visitors and people will have a great time when they go there. Thanks for taking the time to comment.

  • I LOVE New Orleans, i live in Houston and enjoyed every visit i've had there. I'm 43 now, was 3 when i went for the first time. Ofcourse i didn't understand what the city was about, but started going back when i was in undergrad and been going every since. The food, the music, the culture and the PEOPLE, are like no other. Wish more cities had the culture like New Orleans, in fact i'll be there this weekend. Can't wait.

  • @aajmw I'm late replying, just discovered your sweet video. I'm a native and lifelong resident of New Orleans. We've had some tough breaks, but this always has been and still is a great city! Personally, the newcomers (yankee or otherwise) are fine with me! Quoting a relatively new New Orleans "native"...."If you love New Orleans it will love you back"! Come home soon and often please. To know is to love New Orleans, bumps, bruises and everything!! ; )
