Yeah he's a new dealer and he holds a degree in history as well. You don't need to hold a degree to understand, you can study American system works by FDR, Carey, Quincy Adams, etc. Just read his book Surviving the Cataclysm.

Tarpley lacks any degree in economics,but ol' Jonesy calls him an "economist". He is an "Italiam lit" degree-holder. LOL! His analysis shows...
.. He is correct that "investment oligarchs" are a problem and that derivatives should be illegal. However, he doesn't seem to understand WHY said oligarchs have such power... that is, a government monopoly on the money supply allows them the power to inflate too much.
His assessment of the Great Depression is lamentable and dead wrong.
