The boat was a Vespoli 'D' hull XL size (95+kg). The boat was sent ahead to Australia having been checked over in the UK. It was rowed once in the UK and then shipped to Australia. On its return after the Olympics it was sold to the river and rowing museum. The money was then donated to the Harry Mahon cancer fund.
The boat has been displayed at the Maritime museum in Cornwall, and is now on display in Middlesex University.

Yes, an awesome venue for training. A six lane course was provided solely for the use of the team pre Sydney.
