A kayak volunteer's view of the 2010 Half-Full Triathlon; part 2; the swim. This event was held at Centennial Park, Columbia / Ellicott City, Maryland on October 3, 2010. This 70 mile event benefits the "Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults".
Swim 0.9 mile. Then bike 56 miles. Then run 13.1 miles. The 70 mile length was chosen to represent the 70,000 young adults diagnosed with cancer each year. The event website is: www.halffulltri.org . This video covers the swim segment only. There is also a "Part 1" posted,which was "pre-swim" video; including the singing of the National Anthem.
