This is a demonstration of my shiney new defective Magellan 3000T GPS unit that frequently locks up and is basically useless. Video part #3 of 3. Its being sent back for repair under warranty. Hopefully it'll come back working -- getting tech support so far has not been an overwhelmingly favorable or pleasant experience.

Obviously you've never dealt with Magellan's "tech support". They were rude, incapable / unwilling or even attempt a meaningful resolution, and even outright refused to issue an RMA saying it must be user error or misconfiguration. Uh, yeah... Problem is Magellan's support is outsourced offshore and the reps and customer service experience really is "that bad".

I did eventually get it repaired under warranty but it took literally weeks via countless emails and phone calls to push it that far. The new unit works adequately but still is far from stellar and I definitely would NOT recommend it. Had you bothered to actually READ the "about this video" you would have known it was sent for repair.
