Twiggy Versus Edie

Twiggy Lawson and Edie Sedgwick - two 1960s luminaries who made a splash on the fashion and social scenes. Visually quite alike and both trail-blazing stylistas, yet continents apart, with Twiggy hailing from the UK and Edie from the USA. Edie's star crashed and burned in 1971, yet Twiggy Lawson (as she prefers to be called nowadays) still lives on happily and healthily.
So... Who do you prefer?

Awesome! I was expecting everyone to prefer Twiggy, but I stand corrected. Edie was just so much more special and interesting. Twiggy is overrated in my eyes. She always gets credit for creating that gamine, waif-like look, the unique, dramatic eye-makeup, short hair. But Edie had all of that before Twiggy did, which pisses me off. Twiggy seems to me to be more of someone who played by the rules than Edie did. I love Edie!!!!!!

I prefer Edie; Twiggy seems sweet but Edie was such a vibrant person and led such a fascinating life. It was really her personality and not just her look that makes her so iconic to this day, and makes her a star as well as a model. I also prefer Edie's perfect childlike face to Twiggy's unconventional looks.

You guys ever seen the pic of Edie "dying" in the toilet? Its terrible! I would also say Twiggy was/is the better role model as well(even though she made kids want to become skinny, which wasn't her fault because she is naturally skinny.), more talented, and better looking IMO. Anyway......R.I.P Edie, go Twiggy!

@jmf459 Edie all the way. Twiggy, Veruschka and Jean "The Shrimp" Shrimpton were fine and successful models, but Edie Sedgwick was an underground goddess, a princess among queens, out of this world... and not even very successful as a model!

she was a strong beautiful woman who was Amazing, i mean LOOK AT HER LIFE that shit was harsh.

i know i wouldn't be able to handle being in her shoes, handling such pressure to be perfect!!!! well when she was a fashion i con and with sexy Bob Dylan duh!!! but u get the idea ,which is (EDIE IS THE BEST) you cant compare her to anyone!!!
