Dan, where is the location of the fire in respect to the "Yellow Gate" at the Mt. Madonna end of Summit Road? The newspaper reports are confusing, Thanks so much...Kathy (Used to live at 1040 Summit Rd on corner of Croy Ridge on Santa Clara County side)

Thanks for asking. Unfortunately I don't know where the "Yellow Gate" is, but I can show you the specific area I was when I took this video.

Then on the lower right look for:

"Taken in Day Valley, California (edit | map) "

And click on Map, change the view to "Hybrid" and you can zoom out and pan around to see the nearby roads and locations.

I would assume that aircraft was N449DF, California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection Tanker #81 a Marsh Aviation/Grumman S-2FAT based at Hollister, CA. You can see photos of another drop by clicking on my Flickr link in the "More Info" section of this video.

Indeed it is amazing the so-called air pollution that the so-called Greens cause is so-called occurring. No doubt the so-called government is in so-called cahoots with the so-called environmentalists who are stopping so-called loggers from saving the so-called day. Meanwhile, so-called fires are burning hotter killing more so-called animals and destroying more so-called property. Who couldn't agree with such so-called logic?

@TylerNull you're right. And when we ad in "Santa Cruz" to the equation, the hypocrisy is more obvious. And where it was difficult to grow even a few pot plants it is now impossible. There are many square miles of the SC mtns that will be bare for decades. Too many fires out therein the last few years

It's amazing that NO ONE discusses the vast amounts of air pollution the so-called Greens cause.

So-called Environmentalists coerced government into criminalizing the act of logging and forest management. It's now illegal to thin the brush or clear debris from these areas, so the fires are burning hotter and are so often almost unstoppable. They are burning longer and killing more people and animals, and polluting more, and destroying more property.

Socialists of all sects are a toxic farce.

That Loma area would be great place to live for a Finnish person, because

Loma means in finnish vacation or holiday. SO everytime a Finn like me goes to home I would go to holiday Ain't that cool :)
