This is Tequila making some of her random noises. She made a whole bunch more after the camera was off, of course. The music was on in the background because it helps her talk (lol).....She also talks more if I talk with her :)
I've only had Tequila for three years but she's my age (18)

  • aww so adorable but I have a quaker thats 25 yrs old i've had him since he was 5 and I feed him chocolate O.o not all the time but whenever I have some xD he has a very healthy diet and I take him to my avian vet regularly . the vet doesn't recommend the chocolate but he's been eating it for 20 yrs and he is very healthy O_o.

  • @JolinXXQuest1 - Chocolate is extremely toxic for birds. I am not sure how he's still functioning, but I would wager that it's mostly luck. Sugary/fatty/salty foods are all terrible for them... My birds get a small piece of cheese the size of their eye about once or twice a month.. That's about it. I would quit the chocolate because it's poison for him and it sounds like you love him a lot !

  • Thank you for your kind comment :)

She was actually a Quaker Parakeet, not a parrotlet. Parrotlets are really small, like lovebirds. Anyway, good luck with your bird! :)

  • She was a great talker, actually. I'd appreciate if you only posted positive comments.

Tequila passed away on Oct. 1, 2007. She was a great bird and I really miss her, all the cute little things she used to do. Every day I wish that she was still alive and with me.

  • She passed away on Oct 1 / 2007

I miss her so much and this video makes me so sad, but she was a very special bird and I'll always love her

  • ^^aw, well, tell your child that she's still a nice, normal bird in every other way.

  • Everybody that knows anything about birds, knows that quakers tend to become feather pluckers. It's not the owner's fault, and often times no remedies work!

Astrid ~ Don't pay the rude comments any mind.

  • omg so puffy <3. quakers always fluff up when they are comfy and/or sleepy. they're not actually that fat lol.

  • @astrid420 hah i agree .. It's hard tho after such a long time but I do want him to be as healthy as possible ^^ i've started to cut the chocolate out and i noticed he's been getting a bit noisy o.o maybe its just a de-tox thing xDD i dunno but thanks for your comment :) im gonna stick to veges and his favorite treat Pumpkin Seeds ! = ]

  • MINI QUAKKKKKKKER. :)

  • No avocado or febreez, especially no avocado, even one accidentaly swallowed piece will be fatal for your pretty bird.

  • its probabally a young quaker when i got my taylor her tail was short and growing

  • Caffeine is toxic.... i know that much... my quaker loved strands of millet, still on the twig. Yeah as the others say, no avocado or chocolate. Coffee is toxic too.... i love them fluffed up all pudgy looking :)

  • I give mine raisins as treats she loves it, they cant have chocolate, avocados, peach Pitts ,and sunflower seeds (fatting), alcohol and apple seeds

  • One thing is never give them chocolate or avocado those two are killers.

  • Lol, it is PROBABLY just clipped.
