backpressure = bad? wtf are you talking about... the 4.6L loves the back pressure, you dont have the right shit done to your motor and have no backpressure, your gonna burn up the motor you douche nozzle

backpressure = bad. scavenging = good. its as simple as that.

@kcole939 understanding cr is probably one of the more difficult things to do when it comes to motors. the heads can only flow what they were designed to flow and nothing more unless you modify or change them no matter what the cr.

@bobw77 You can't explain that to the typical Youtube mechanic, though. They do not comprehend that expanding gasses release their heat energy, which slows the flow when there is too large of an exhaust system.

I had a run in a couple days ago with some guy who thinks that compression ratios affect the exhaust system. Just can't tell him that the heads will flow that same CFM of air/fuel whether it's being compressed to 1/8th (8:1) of it's volume at 1 atmosphere, or 1/10th (10:1). LOL.
