@jct32088 The cost of making sure a soldier is confident and proficient with their weapon by spending ammo in practice, is insignificant next to the cost of supporting the soldier in the first place. Doesn't make much sense to spend money to equip a guy to sit around and look menacing if he only has a theoretical grasp of his weapon. :)

@7mikethebike they laugh because many people think explosions are cool. in fact, human interest in fire is what helped us evolve from the rest of the animals. it's really only nature. do you like fireworks? do you like roasting things? BBQs? anyone in the millitary is better than you and frankly i think the world would be a better place without people like you. if these guys get rid of a car they needed to and ammo they needed to and happened to enjoy it, so be it.
