@cfcreative1 Seligman is a Princeton graduate, has a PHD in psychology, and is a professor at UofP. He is an academic. It's sad you have to be so negative. there is no reason to believe they are a psychopathic cult.

I would like to see academics in the field of psychology do some research on non-violent communication and give a professional opinion on groups like this. I have an amateur theory that this group is a cult with a psychopathic leader Marshall Rosenberg.

I just did the "Oh no you didn't" finger wave and I'm a pasty white Oregon girl. Finding patterns in human behavior, interactions, thoughts etc and finding ways to treat illness is not a science? Developing medication that TREATS mental illness is not a science. That is chemistry based on the findings of PSYCHOLOGISTS.
The AA program is based off psychology. It helps hurting people to identify what they are hurting and help free them, instead of them drinking their pain away.
