I have created a new show, "Danse Bleue,"that utilizes multi media projections and aerialist artists. As you can see the look is very unique. More images plus a quicktime.mov can be viewed on my web site at:

  • Stunning !!

I hope all the artists have been thoroughly trained in the basics of laser-safety.

ie DO NOT STARE INTO BEAM WITH REMAINING EYE !

  • I worked with a certified laser person and had him give every person a thorough understanding. The danger comes from the static beam by the way. I know of one person/laser artist who was kicked out of CA for lowering strong beams into a dancing group and 1 person came away with eye damage.

  • Hi, vjpablo.

Thanks. I think your comment is in response to one I left a while ago although my original comment is not apparent.

A moving beam can be equally as damaging as a static beam. It depends upon many factors including the size and distribution of the projected spot. However, it is generally considered safe if the beam is continually moving although it isn't a sure-fire way of avoiding damage or injury.

Great to know that you had trained professionals to keep everyone safe. :)

  • Video cameras are also damaged with the laser beam hitting the CCD chips. Heard accounts of people having $15.000 cameras damaged.

  • Beautiful.... Can you tell me whose music is in that video? Thanks

  • The main aerialist is Lara Paxton out of Seattle, WA.

  • can you please tell me what is this song?

  • Hey Pablo, great to see footage from Dancing Dragons. We did good work there. I hope you are well.

  • Amazing, very beautiful, everything....

  • Yes. I've seen some footage of someone deliberately burning out pixels on a CCD which had already been damaged.

Imagine that happening to a retina. Not a pleasant thought. At least cameras can be replaced.

My previous comment's appeared now. Odd.
