What does the gain do? Mine is not even set at half, but I can barely hear my self.

They will just tell you: Some mics require high amounts of gain..
Even tho the blue yeti dont require high gain..

Dude i just connected it now to fix it. Mine is set to -192 db
Can you believe it ? MINUS 192?
On Macbook Pro OSX Lion 10.7.2
Thats kinda odd.. Think of how many people has been returning this and stuff.

@Ole1k -192 db is ridiculous. I am going to call them and ask them why the settings are THAT low. It has to be a reason....unbelievable!

Thank you! This really helped... that nobody in the store had. This is amazing.... Which microphone setting do you use, cardoid, omni, for speaking, singing etc?
You are a rock star!!!!!

@mountainleaf Haha, no problem you are welcome. I find that I use Cadrdoid setting the most, then steroe 2nd. It's a very good mic once that issue is take care of. It's easy to mix the sound wether you are singing, podcasting or using instruments.
