This file is a combination of photos and a video of the first "Dry" test of a 1950 Homart Electric Sink Dishwasher. These machines were sold by Sears, Roebuck and Company. This video captures the sounds of this dishwasher as it steps through a dish washing cycle. The 45 minute cycle has been edited significantly to reduce boredom for the viewer. As "Wet" tests are made, additional videos will be uploaded. If you have any knowledge when this machine was built, I would appreciate hearing from you. The Timer Box is stamped "Rebuilt Mar 1961". I'm only estimating that this machine was built in 1950. Sears introduced the Homart Dishwashers in 1949, and I have seen this same Electric Sink listed in a 1952 Sear catalog and associated with the Kenmore name. Happy Viewing!
Fantastic Find!
In fantastic shape!
Did you do a water test?
In my own opinion I would have never run this dishwasher dry. Seals against the pump shaft will adhere to shaft in this shape.
I hope all is well.
Can't wait to see the water test!
Great find!
Thanks for sharing!
