Mod is dead. Long live Mod!! or in the words of Tears For Fears at the end of the nineteen-eighties in Sowing The Seeds Of Love "Throw out the Style, bring back The Jam." OK, this may be just a demo but it does sum up what the 80's meant to me as a teenager, musically.

  • Great homage!

As you said, It's simple demo recording, but I feel the subtle charms from this song.

I like this song so much.

  • @TorigoyaSound Thank you, maybe we are around the same age and both grew up in the 80s? I feel nostagia now even for songs I thought weren't very cool as a kid. The pre-digital age has gone yet new wave and synth pop seemed so modern then. Pete

  • Just what I needed to put my mind right. The gtr melody is awesome.

  • @Escagedo3rd Thanks. Kind of rockabilly that bit. Britpop seems to need those southern roots to poke through to sound at its best.

  • Great song. Favourited this one.

  • @inlandviews Thanks Kent.

  • @PhilDeeferSite The eighties seemed to have a great deal of one hit wonders didn't it? Still, I liked some of them here and there. Nostalgia at work.

Mateers lovely great slides and small inspirations

from diffirent past times. A lovely day at work, looking

  • @CurtisMateer Hi Pete. a "me too" writer (or roofer or chef etc") is simply some one who basically only produces things that any other artist/ vendor might.......a person whose work can easily be duplicated by others. and this.....you......ain't!. chuck.

  • @onewomanandsomesongs Well, nobody could say they were "not good" anyway I suppose :) So happy to be a source of some inspiration :) thank you very much and happy researching. Pete
