The Whinlatter & Swinside Light Railway. A 32mm garden railway in West Cumbria established in 2003. Jenny, one of my diesels, is pushing the camera in an open truck.

  • I am a member of the 16mm NGM (6638) (and a member of the ratty pres. society!) and id love to visit other railways nearby unfortunately so far havent found many!

  • I was pleasantly surprised at how much better the railway looks from this angle! cheers!

  • Stunner ! Much cheaper journey than Virgin Trains. Plenty of railwayana enroute and wide variety of plants for the gardener. The annotations are very informative and we can imagine what the engine and truck might look like. And no drunken football supporters ruining the journey !

  • thank you! Im glad i don't have a pendolino on the W&SLR, it would probably run straight through anyway (Pendolinos don't like stopping in Cumbria...!)

  • Really nice layout there. Are you a member of the association of 16mm ng modellers? The North West area group covers North Lancashire and Cumbria if you would to visit other railways (unless your already a member and I don't know you!)

  • Outstanding layout.
