The server side of the architecture comprising the file store, database, BigHand Services, and BigHand Services Host, is installed in exactly the same way as it would be in a Windows Client environment. This architecture remains flexible and can be implemented on a shared, dedicated or distributed server infrastructure. Terminal servers present the BigHand client to a network of terminal clients or PCs. Each of the terminals run their own device drivers and plug-in (which interacts with the BigHand client) to provide full BigHand functionality.
