President Obama was watching on a TV screen as a commando gunned down Osama Bin Laden. Via a video camera fixed to the helmet of a U.S. Navy Seal, the leader of the free world saw the terror chief shot in the left eye.

The Seal then carried out what is known in the military as a 'double tap' -- shooting him again, probably in the chest, to make certain he was dead. The footage of the battle in Bin Laden's Pakistani hideout -- relayed to the White House by satellite -- is said to show one of his wives acting as a human shield to protect him as he blasted away with an AK47 assault rifle.

She died, along with three other men, including one of Bin Laden's sons. Within hours, the Al Qaeda leader's body was buried at sea.

Osama bin Laden is dead. It is news many people, especially in the US, have been waiting for 10 years to hear. US forces tracked him down to a mansion in a small town outside Islamabad. However...with the quick disposal of the body and only one FAKE photograph as evidence...how can we really know? The US government is still deciding on whether or not to release the pictures of Osama Bin Laden's corpse. Where are the REAL photos and the REAL LIVE FOOTAGE OF ST6's operation to kill the most hated man in history since WW2. Obama got to see the operation unfold LIVE...even to the point of seeing the bullets go through him...why can't we see this footage?

***************************************UPDATE************************************
The SEALs neutralized the compound's guards, who may have included only the courier and his brother, then cleared the main building room-to-room.Fighting occurred on the first floor, where two adult males lived, and on the second and third floors, where bin Laden lived with his family; the second and third floors were the last section of the compound to be cleared.Personnel in the compound, including women and children, encountered and captured by the SEALs were restrained with plastic zip ties and left in place until the raid was over, when the SEALs moved them all outside.

Osama bin Laden and the DEVGRU team encountered each other on the third floor of the residence; bin Laden was "wearing the local loose-fitting tunic and pants known as a shalwar kameez.""The encounter with bin Laden lasted only seconds," according to Politico, and took place during "the last five or 10 minutes" of the raid. It is claimed that Bin Laden resisted, however it is also claimed that he had no weapon when he was shot. White House spokesman Jay Carney explained with the comment, "Resistance does not require a firearm."

Sources seem to generally agree that bin Laden was killed by at least one and possibly two or more American bullets, one of which struck the left side of his head, but the exact location of the bullet wounds is the subject of contradictory media reports. It has been reported that bin Laden was shot twice, once in the head, and once in the chest.National Journal reported that he was "done in by a double tap—boom, boom—to the left side of his face."

Potential release of photos

Bin Laden's body was photographed before it was buried at sea, sparking a debate about whether to release the photos. Those supporting the release of the photos said it would prove his death and prevent conspiracy theories that bin Laden is still alive, while others expressed concern that the photos would inflame anti-American sentiment in the Middle East.

On May 2, CIA Director Leon Panetta mentioned in an interview with NBC Nightly News that photographs of the deceased bin Laden would be released, but the White House immediately denied that any decision had been made, referring to the photo—which reportedly shows that a portion of bin Laden's skull had been shot off—as "gruesome".

  • SEALS NEVER DO OPERATIONS IN THE DAY TIME BITCH

  • @mabinogfan - Because you are the expert on Naval Special Warfare Command. Don't bring your Hollywood and video game knowledge here dumbass. If you plan on becoming a Navy SEAL you better learn that they operate day and night, in all sea states, weather, and temperatures. It doesn't fucking matter where, when, and what time.
